Dr. Cannon Milani
Medical Oncologist
Dr. Cannon Milani, M.D. is a Board-certified Oncologist who recently joined the Boise community, bringing a patient-centered, mission-driven approach to cancer care.
A Southern California native, he combines extensive multidisciplinary oncology experience with a commitment to clear communication, compassionate support, survivorship, and shared decision-making. He moved to Boise to honor the local culture of kindness and community, ambitions that guide his care and his dedication to helping the Boise community thrive.
Former Chief of Oncology at Kaiser Permanente in West Los Angeles, Milani led comprehensive cancer programs, advanced evidence-based treatment protocols, and mentored clinicians and researchers. His primary focus is on translating scientific advances into practical, individualized care with a holistic focus on the patient’s disease process, values, and quality of life. This blend of leadership and science informs a thoughtfully designed care plan for every patient.
Dr. Milani offers personalized oncology and hematology care within a multidisciplinary team, emphasizing prevention, early detection, and survivorship. He is committed to delivering accessible care that empowers patients and families with clear options and goals, and to serving the Boise community with the highest standards of compassionate, patient-focused oncology care.

Jessica Herr, DNP, FNP‑C
Oncology Nurse Practitioner
Jessica Herr, DNP, FNP‑C, is a board‑certified Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 20 years of clinical experience, including 11 years in advanced practice. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Idaho State University, her Master of Science in Nursing Family Nurse Practitioner from Herzing University, and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Boise State University.
Jessica has dedicated the majority of her career to caring for patients in the Treasure Valley and is proud to serve the community she calls home. Her clinical background spans hematology, oncology, high‑risk breast care, breast imaging, pediatric surgery, and healthcare leadership. She has played a key role in developing specialty clinics and brings both clinical depth and strong care coordination to every patient encounter.
Jessica is passionate about providing evidence‑based care grounded in clear communication and meaningful relationships. She believes in relationship‑based medicine, taking time to listen, offer thoughtful guidance, and ensure patients feel informed and confident in their care decisions.
She collaborates closely with multidisciplinary teams to support continuity and promote the best possible outcomes. Jessica is dedicated to creating an environment where patients feel respected, supported, and genuinely cared for, while advocating for each individual’s unique needs and overall well‑being.
